We’ve blogged before about class action suits brought against the retail titan Wal-Mart for, among other
things, forcing employees to work unpaid off the clock, erasing hours from time cards and preventing workers from taking breaks.
So you can imagine how thrilled we were to read Wal-Mart has agreed to pay at least $352 million – maybe more - to settle lawsuits across the country to compensate its exploited employees. Reportedly, the cases involved “hundreds of thousands” hourly workers who could be entitled to as much as several hundred dollars each from the settlement.
