Amanda got her start in the fight for social justice at the Connecticut Citizen's Action Group (CCAG). Over the years she has been a staffer at the Connecticut General Assembly, worked on dozens of successful political campaigns, and conducted research for Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 32BJ to fight for better access to health care for the workers. She was also a private investigator at an international research and investigation firm where she mainly focused on researching the gun industry's distribution practices. Using her wealth of political and government experience, Amanda worked for the Innocence Project, where she organized in multiple states around various criminal justice reforms. She has a masters in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from the New School University and has done political campaign training at the Women's Campaign School at Yale. Currently, Amanda is a Senior Field Organizer at the Center for Justice & Democracy.
