Patients assume that medical devices are stringently monitored by the medical community and the government. This is not an unreasonable assumption but it is false. It is unethical, expensive and dangerous not to root out devices that FAIL. Criminals and cheaters should not profit while victims suffer. Pass the Medical Device Safety Act S.540 and HR 1346. I am grateful to the physicians who courageously stand up to the medical devi$e indu$try.
